From there, visitors can observe the spring migration and the beginning of breeding bird activity. The birdwatching tower can be reached from Sønder Lemvej via Bustrup Plantage. Another way to experience the wetland is a 300-metre-long wooden footbridge that passes through the area with alder trees. In the western wetland of the nature park, there is also the sculpture group Ellepigerne, featuring three alder maidens.

Walking Trails for Different Day Plans

The Stier ved Hostrup Hovedgård route starts at the car park on Sønder Lemvej and heads towards Sønder Lem Vig. It follows the water along to the lock and the outlet at Hostrupvej. Behind the manor, the route leads to a playground with shelters, a picnic shelter and a toilet. Red arrows mark the route; its length is 3.3–5.5 km.
