Selde Church and cultural traces

Selde Church, located along a road, is the northernmost church in Salling and was built mainly in the Romanesque period. During modernisation in 2007, a new altar area was created by local artist Erik Heide. A baptismal font also tells of the area's long history: it bears a runic inscription containing the name Gudliv.

Emilie Demant Hatt (1873–1958), the expressionist painter, was also born in Selde and is part of the area's cultural identity. Together with Selde Church, the art exhibitions and the sculptures, she contributes to a varied picture of the area.
