It runs south from the marina along Udbyhøj Beach to the pumping house on Randers Fjord. This route is part of the 32 km long long-distance hiking trail “Randers Fjord Stien”.

Several national cycling and hiking trails, as well as the international North Sea Trail – Nordsøstien, also run near Udbyhøj Beach. Udbyhøj is a village around 400 years old that developed around the historic ferry crossing at the mouth of Randers Fjord. Another special feature is Udbyhøj Skanse, a so-called star-shaped fortification.

Udbyhøj Nord is also home to Kanonbåden. It is a mobile information platform on the water that provides information about Randers Fjord Nature Park. From its upper deck, visitors could look across the fjord with binoculars and receive information about the nature park. In this way, it complements the trails and beach with an insight into the landscape and regional nature.
