On the opposite bank of the Gudenå lies Tvilum Priory Church. To take a closer look at the church, you need to cross Tvilum Bridge. In Kongensbro, Bro og Kro is described as one of the old inns used by the historic barge haulers at an important crossing. Another reminder of this work is “Æ Swot Man,” a tarred post south of Kongensbro along the route. The barge haulers looped the rope around it when they pulled a barge around a bend in the river.
