The surrounding area also preserves unusual historical traces. In 1942, a 2.6-metre-long dugout canoe was found in Rønninge Mose; it was dated to 3950–1701 BC. The local history also includes Tornskovkroen: it stood where Truelsholm, Odensevej 37, is located today.
