The surrounding area also includes Kejrup, which is one of the oldest farms in the parish and was mentioned as early as the 14th century.

Another historical detail is the former electrical plant of the Kølstrup parish. It was designed by Professor Iver Bentzen and operated from 1910 to 1956. Kertinge-Kølstrup is designated as a valuable cultural heritage area.
