In Oryahovo, the central building of the History Museum is housed in a two-storey building dating from the late 19th century. The Diko Iliev and Brass Bands House Museum offers a different cultural focus: its exhibitions cover Diko Iliev, the brass bands he founded and conducted, Andrey Chaprazov, and urban life in the 1920s and 1930s. Fortress Remains in Different Locations
At the Kamaka Fortress, a rectangular, two-storey tower from the time of the Second Bulgarian Empire has been preserved. The remains of the ancient Variana Fortress near the village of Leskovets offer a different historical connection. The remains of the ancient Valeriana Fortress lie near the village of Dolni Vadin. The similar-sounding names therefore refer to two fortresses in different locations.
