Nature

Culture and Tradition

In 2016, the Forest and Tourism Festival at Bela Voda in the Stakevski Balkan was scheduled for the third Saturday in August. The programme included folklore performances by groups from Stakevtsi and Salash, Horo dancing, brass-band music and forest herbs. Stakevtsi also hosts a traditional Balkan festival in August, whose date varies each year. It is also reported that the village holds a traditional gathering in May; its date is determined according to the church calendar.

Local Cuisine

The local specialities with which Stakevtsi welcomes guests include bel muzh and thick Banitsa. Bel muzh is prepared from unsalted fresh cheese and flour. The Turlak cuisine associated with Stakevtsi can be sampled at Turlak gatherings.
