Konstantin: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

On the northern hill of Konstantin stands the Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius; it was one of the first buildings in Konstantin. It was built in two years by Master Gencho Kanev.

History and Culture

The settlement was established in the spring of 1878. Construction was initiated by locals who had become homeless after Bebrovo was burned down during the liberation struggles in the Elena area. Konstantin was laid out according to Russian principles, with wide, straight streets.

In the centre of Konstantin stands a bust monument to Konstantin Rudanovski. A marble monument in the churchyard commemorates 39 Russian soldiers who were killed in battles near Konstantin. There is also a war memorial in the village for residents of Konstantin who lost their lives in the wars.

Traditions

Transport and Cycling

Republican Road II-53 passes through Konstantin. Class III road III-408 runs from Konstantin to Omurtag. It was also planned that the route of the 2026 Giro d’Italia would pass through Konstantin.
