The local waterways include two tributaries of the Varbitsa: the Oludere tributary flows into the Varbitsa at Dryanova Glava, while the Drangovska River is a tributary of the Varbitsa near Dryanova Glava.
Nearby, next to the road to Benkovski, immediately after the turn-off to Dryanova Glava and before the turn-off to Medevci, stands a centuries-old sessile oak (Quercus petraea sesiliflora). The oak has a trunk circumference of 6.50 metres and is approximately 480 years old. It is described as easily accessible. Below the tree is a large stone fountain, described as a resting place.
Things to Do
Damla Kaya is located near Stareyshino. The site combines a small waterfall, a stone passage and water dripping over rocks. Damla Kaya is described as suitable for hiking; an approximately 6-kilometre route leads there from Podkova or Stareyshino.
The rock sanctuary of Golyam Tulpan is also located nearby. An oval altar was excavated at the highest and flattest point of its summit. Near Fotinovo, the Rock-Cult Complex Turtles consists of stone formations resembling the shells of freshwater turtles.
