Bezmer: Holiday Apartments and Houses

During open days at Bezmer Air Base, visitors could view Su-25 fighter aircraft at close range. Bezmer also hosts the International Youth Festival “Tundzha – Creativity and Innovation”: in 2025, the event included 30 teams, while the festival was held in Bezmer for the eleventh consecutive time and featured sports games with more than 500 young people as well as over 24 youth teams.

Events

The festival programme included practical art activities for children and guests, including decorating plaster figures, ceramic pots and wooden discs. The International Youth Festival “Tundzha – Creativity and Innovation” also included an art workshop, Chinese paper cutting and the painting of the community centre’s façade by a Mexican artist. The event also featured the preparation of food in the field kitchen of the 22nd Air Base Bezmer.

Culture

The Zdravets Pensioners’ Club in Bezmer is committed to restoring, preserving and honouring the Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God. St Sofia Church was built in 1934. The Chapel of the Nativity of the Mother of God was built after 2000 with donations.

In Tundzha Municipality, wine tastings featuring wines from local wineries are presented as an attraction for visitors.

Geographical Location

On the Tundzha River, the routes Zavoy–Yambol, Tenevo–Konevets and Konevets–Elhovo are listed within Tundzha Municipality as first-category boating tourism routes.

The Plovdiv–Burgas railway line runs approximately 1.5 km south of Bezmer; Bezmer railway station is located on this line.
