Radino: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In nearby Tryavna, the Tryavna Icon-Painting School Museum is unique in Bulgaria. It houses 160 icons by painters from six prominent families and aims to introduce visitors to icon painting and woodcarving through demonstrations and discussions. Culture

Near Radino is Daskalova House, one of Tryavna’s most important sites associated with woodcarving. The house preserves ceilings with carved “suns,” which resulted from a competition between a master and an apprentice in 1808. In Tryavna, the old town preserves architecture from the National Revival period; active craft workshops are also operated there.

Nature

Near Radino lies Vikanata Skala, a protected natural landmark within Bulgarka Nature Park. The rock formation is stated to be 1,000 metres high and offers panoramic views towards the Predbalkan and the Danubian Plain.

A well-marked path leads from Vikanata Skala to Bedeck Peak.

Things to Do

Near Radino, the Bozhentsi–Dryanovo Monastery ecotrail begins at the Bozhentsi car park. The ecotrail connects with tourist routes to Gabrovo, Tryavna and Sechen Kamak. It is of moderate difficulty and is suitable for hiking and cycling, as well as for children without special equipment.

Geographical Location

Tryavna has bus and rail connections on the Ruse–Gorna Oryahovitsa–Stara Zagora–Plovdiv railway line. Road GAB3282 is connected to the Plachkovtsi–Enchovtsi branch and Radino.
