Bebravska Cave is a natural phenomenon in the protected Konjuh landscape area in the municipality of Kladanj. Access to Bebravska Cave and its surroundings has been developed. Solar panels provide lighting inside, making the cave accessible to researchers, tourists, and visitors. Organized visits are offered for groups of 5 to 30 people on Saturdays and Sundays at 12:00 noon.

Nature

Ilinčica is part of the natural heritage of the rural area of the municipality of Tuzla and is protected by the state as a protected landscape. Ilinčica can be reached via several hiking trails and has a signposted, 4-kilometre educational cycling trail with information boards about the local flora and fauna. There are also 16 designated picnic micro-sites.

The protected Konjuh landscape area extends along the southwestern side of the canton as its natural boundary, covering the four municipalities of Tuzla, Banovići, Živinice, and Kladanj. The summit of Konjuh reaches 1,328 metres and is considered accessible year-round. Hiking, mountaineering, and cycling are possible in Konjuh.

In the immediate vicinity of Tuzla Canton are Oštri Brdo, a mountain, and Vis, a mountain. The surroundings of Tuzla Canton also include Kik, a peak, and Rokoc, a peak.

Culture and History

Djevojačka Cave in Brateljevići contains rock drawings from the Palaeolithic. The necropolis of stećci in Olovci Kladanj at the Kuman archaeological site was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2016 and comprises 18 medieval tombstones.

The Archaeological Park – Neolithic Pile-Dwelling Settlement reconstructs a way of life from more than 7,000 years ago based on Neolithic finds. Etno avlija Mačkovac is an open-air museum with traditional residential buildings, workshops, and water mills.

The earliest documented mention of Stari grad Srebrenik dates from 1333. The Stari grad Srebrenik complex comprises four towers, a castle courtyard, a cistern, and a residential building with a cellar.

Hram svetog proroka Ilije in Puračić, together with its movable inventory, is a national monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was built in 1903. The Church of Sveta Petka is also located in the surroundings of Tuzla Canton.

The Sahat-kula in Gradačac is 22 metres high and stands in the old town near several important cultural monuments. It was built in 1824 by Husein-kapetan Gradaščević. The 53rd International Fair of Agriculture and Food Industry – Sajam šljive in Gradačac is the oldest specialised fair in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The White Fortress of Husein-kapetan Gradaščević offers a view over Gradačac and its surroundings.

The Sahat-kula in Gračanica is 27.0 metres high, making it the second-highest clock tower complex in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Visitor Information

The Slani slapovi in the Panonska jezera complex comprise five cascades and two bathing pools.

The Tuzla Tourist Information Centre provides information about sights as well as routes connecting Tuzla with surrounding cities and natural attractions.
