Novyja Zasimavičy: Vacation Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture
On March 20, 2023, traditional glass painting in the city of Bereza, in Sporava and Stryhin in Bereza District, and in the city of Pruzhany, in Slabudka and Novyya Zasimavichy in Pruzhany District, was granted the status of a historical and cultural value.
Traditional glass painting, widespread in Pruzhany District and Bereza District of the Brest Region, developed from the second half of the 19th century onward. Its motifs include religious images, decorative ornaments, scenic compositions, landscapes, and fairy-tale motifs.
Since 2006, the group “Shklinka-Malyavanka” has been supported at the Pruzhany City Palace of Culture to promote traditional glass painting; research expeditions, seminars, and master classes are held there.
History
A Mi-24 aviation monument is located in the military settlement of Novyya Zasimavichy. The Mi-24V commemorative helicopter bears the manufacturer’s serial number 3532421014161 and the white side number “01.” The memorial to the Mi-24V was created with the direct involvement of military personnel and employees of the 181st Combat Helicopter Base.
The former Mi-2 memorial site was presumably established in Zasimavichy in 1993, after the 206th Air Base had left Pruzhany-West airfield and relocated to Lida. Until October 26, 2015, an Mi-2 transport and medical helicopter stood on a pedestal near the headquarters of the 181st Combat Helicopter Base in Novyya Zasimavichy. The former Mi-2 memorial exhibit in Novyya Zasimavichy was manufactured on August 25, 1971, and, according to its flight records, made its final flight on March 1, 1991.
The 181st Independent Helicopter Squadron associated with Novyya Zasimavichy was formed in 1973 at Temirtau airfield in the Qaraghandy Region. After withdrawing from Afghanistan in 1988, it was stationed at the Belarusian airfield in Pruzhany. Its duties included searching for and receiving reentry capsules from spacecraft. On March 4, 1993, the squadron was reorganized into the 181st Air Base, and on March 20, 1996, into the 181st Combat Helicopter Base.
