Njaswisch: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
At the heart of Njaswisch is the UNESCO World Heritage complex of the Radziwill family, with a residence palace and the Church of Corpus Christi, which serves as a mausoleum. The palace consists of ten interconnected buildings arranged as an architectural whole around a hexagonal courtyard. Culture and History
Construction of Njaswisch Castle began in 1583. The town hall is the oldest surviving building of municipal self-government in Belarus. The second floor houses an exhibition on the history of municipal self-government.
The Slutsk Gate is a unique Baroque monument. It is the only one of the five former city gates in Njaswisch that has been preserved; the gates were built as part of the city fortifications from the end of the 16th to the beginning of the 17th century. The Church of Corpus Christi was the first Baroque-style building in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Visits are possible outside service times.
The history of the fortifications also includes the southwestern bastion. It is part of the defensive system of Njaswisch Castle and was built at the end of the 16th century according to the principles of the Neo-Italian fortification system.
Landscape and Townscape
The palace-and-park ensemble of Njaswisch is located in the northeast of the city and is surrounded by ponds of the Usha River. The New Park, also known as Marysin Park, covers 22 hectares.

The tour “Riverside Promenade with Legends and Traditions” begins in the central castle courtyard, follows a path along the promenade beside the castle pond, and ends in the Old Park.
During the theatrical tour “Once in the Castle,” visitors can personally take part in some episodes. The tour “A Nighttime Journey Through the Radziwill Castle” leads through rooms and halls to the ballroom, the prince’s study, and the princess’s bedroom.
Getting There
Gorodeya railway station is 14 kilometers from Njaswisch; scheduled buses continue from there toward the city.
