The Barysaw United Museum has six exhibition halls dedicated to the history of Borisovshchina; its thematic focus is the War of 1812. The updated exhibition displays restored uniforms and headgear, edged and firearms, as well as portraits of Russian and French generals.

The Barysaw United Museum is the only repository of a copy of the panorama by Wojciech Kossak and Julian Falat depicting Napoleon's crossing of the Berezina in 1812. Museums in Barysaw also include the Museum of Soviet Military Equipment, the I. Kh. Kolodeev Manor House, and museums belonging to local industrial enterprises.

The Estate Museum in Barysaw organizes historical quests, presentations, and social events. The hyperbolic tower in Barysaw, designed by Vladimir Shukhov, is 27 meters high and was built in 1927. The estate in Barysaw features a restored late-19th-century interior and displays books, reproductions of paintings, engravings, and archival photographs.

Religious buildings

The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Barysaw is a stone church in the late Classicist style, completed in 1823. The Holy Resurrection Church in Barysaw is a 19th-century stone church in the retrospective Russian style, with three apses and nine domes.

Barysaw is also home to an Old Believer church in an 18th-century wooden building; it is one of the few Old Believer churches in Minsk Oblast.

Sports and events

Borisov Arena is a major local football attraction and the home stadium of the renowned football club FC BATE Borisov. It offers more than 13,000 seats and meets the requirements of UEFA stadium category four. Guided tours are available at Borisov Arena and may include visits to the football team's changing rooms, the dugout, and the VIP lounge.

On February 21, the traditional folk festival «Душа наша, Масленица!» took place at Borisov Arena in Barysaw. The Maslenitsa festival held there that day featured public games and competitions such as tug-of-war and Maslenitsa races.

Water

The Gaina–Berezina water route runs from Logoysk to Barysaw. The Gaina–Berezina water route ends after 105.5 kilometers at a bay next to Barysaw railway station. The upstream starting point of the Berezina water route at Veselovo can be reached by bus from Barysaw.

History

The preserved railway station building in Barysaw was constructed in 1914 and was the only two-story railway station building on the 200-kilometer railway line between Minsk and Orsha.

In the wider area around Barysaw, a memorial complex marks the crossing of the Berezina associated with Napoleon's campaign of 1812; in Studenka, the sites of the two bridges built at that time are marked on the left bank of the river. The Barysaw Batteries include an observation platform, an obelisk commemorating the soldiers, and mortars.
