Culture and History

The local history museum in TuraÅ­ displays the foundations of a 12th-century church. A monument to Cyril of TuraÅ­ stands on the old Zamkava Hara; TuraÅ­ also has the preserved All Saints Church, dating from 1810. Two large stone crosses are traditionally associated with Kyiv.

Nature

The TuraÅ­ Meadow is described as a seasonal habitat for birds. When flooding inundates the area, a network of islands forms, where waders, gulls, ducks, and other birds establish colonies.

The Turaŭ Nature Museum was established in 1998 and presents exhibitions on the flora and fauna of Polesie. In the wider region around Turaŭ lies Natsyyanal’ny Park Prypyatski.
