Kalinkavichy District: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The republican landscape reserve “Strelsky” includes, among other areas in Kalinkovichskiy Rayon, parts of the Yurovichi Selsoviet, areas belonging to the Yurovichi forestry enterprise, and the waters of Lakes Borovnoe, Buyach, Lisenok, Litvin, Obod, Trostyanoye, Ples, Gribnoye and Bernetovo. Faith and History

The Yurovichi Monastery of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God is currently active. Services are currently held in the house church dedicated to the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God. The 17th-century icon of the Merciful Mother of God of Yurovichi is the cathedral’s most important relic.

Kalinkovichy is home to the Cathedral dedicated to the Icon of Our Lady of Kazan. Built of brick in 1993, the church has five domes.

The former Jesuit college complex in Yurovichi has the status of a second-category historical and cultural value and is included in the state list of immovable historical and cultural values of Belarus.

Museums

The “Prehistoric Human Site” open-air museum in Yurovichi opened on 15 September 2021 in Kalinkovichskiy Rayon. The open-air exhibition reconstructs a settlement of Cro-Magnon people. The open-air museum in Yurovichi was established at a prehistoric human site that the museum describes as the oldest in Belarus.

The Museum Commemorating the Victims of the Ozarichi Death Camp is located in the Ozarichi village council building, opposite the memorial on the other side of the road. It displays photographs of prisoners, dioramas, maps and artefacts from the camp.

The Kalinkovichy Local History Museum welcomed its first visitors in 1994. Its main exhibition is spread across four halls and comprises more than 200 objects.

Events

The history of the “Autyuki” folk humour festival in Kalinkovichskiy Rayon began in 1995. At the 2025 “Autyuki” folk humour festival, the programme included themed courtyards, sports games, a children’s area, horse riding and a handicraft market.
