Hovhannes Tumanyan was born and raised in the house that is now operated as his Dsegh House-Museum. The Hovhannes Tumanyan House-Museum in Dsegh was established in 1939 in the poet’s father’s house.
The Dsegh House-Museum has two floors and six rooms containing more than 300 items from Tumanyan’s life and literary work. On the second floor, the museum displays his bed, desk, clothing, and other personal belongings. The house-museum also organizes commemorative events and annual Tumanyan Days.

The Dsegh Loop begins in Dsegh, passes through the local forest, and returns through a river valley. The route reaches the ruins of St. Gregory Bardzrakash Monastery, which are accessible only on foot.
