The Tezharuyk Monastery, a 12th-century monastery, is located about a ten-minute walk uphill from Meghradzor, in a wooded setting overlooking the river.

Meghradzor is approximately one hour north of Yerevan; the route leads through Tsaghkadzor and Hrazdan. Vank’i Glukh, Antarrut, and Mokhrasar are located near Meghradzor. Dambaranadasht, Aghavnabun, Razvaliny Dallar, and Kapuyt Haz are situated in the surrounding area. Ch’rrik lies in the wider regional vicinity of Meghradzor.
