Culture and History
Near the Barepat River, Kalavan is home to a documented Stone Age archaeological settlement. The finds and structures include Early Bronze Age graves, stone constructions, obsidian and flint quarries, primitive weapons, and animal bones with spearheads. The area may encompass several Stone Age campsites.
