Yernjatap: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Culture

Within the Astvatsnkal complex, the 5th-century Basilica of St. Astvatsatsin is the oldest structure. It was renovated in 1207; a monastic brotherhood was founded there at that time.

The complex also includes the Church of St. Nshan, dating from 1244. Its western portal features remarkable sculptural reliefs, while the adjoining gavit contains tombstones. Khachkars and tombstones dating from the 12th to the 17th century have been preserved in the surrounding area.
