Zermatt, of the most popular Swiss ski resorts, has presented gifts to its visitors traveling with children before the new season. From November 29, 2008 to April 26, 2009, children, who are under 16 years old, can enjoy downhill skiing for free on Saturdays, and on weekdays the cost of child ski pass is 50% of the price of an adult one.

Such a policy could become a significant advantage when choosing the resort, because the prices for ski infrastructure are constantly growing. So this discount for children's tickets will not leave parents with any income indifferent. For example, at the French ski resorts the price of child (from 5 to 11 years) ski pass is about 70% of the adult one, and after 11 years you have to pay a full price.

But do not think that such a charity is happening at the expense of quality of service and the accommodation for tourists. As is generally known, Zermatt for a long time is one of the 12 best European resorts, which are the members of the Best of the Alps - a kind of elite club for the best Alpine hotels. Therefore, if fans of downhill skiing choose Zermatt resort for their vacation, then in return they will get: skiing tracks of varying difficulty and for all tastes, the guarantee of snow for the whole season (and on the glacier all year round), an excellent opportunity for freeride.

Helicopter tours, paragliding, entertainment and snow parks, tracks for sledding and dog-drown sledding. And of course the impeccable service. Available rooms will suit the taste and will be affordable absolutely for everyone, from students, who came to vacation, to the most demanding customers, who have chosen to hold a corporate event there.

Besides that, there are more than 100 restaurants and bars located in the different parts of Zermatt, offering different dishes: from pizza to a first-class Swiss cuisine.
