Geographical Location

Campo lies approximately 1,215 metres above sea level; the former municipal area ranged from 1,022 to 3,022 metres.

Campo is a small settlement at the entrance to Val di Campo, a side valley of the upper Blenio Valley, on the Fiume d’Orsàira. The former municipal area largely corresponded to Val di Campo, a side valley on the right-hand side of the upper Blenio Valley. The village of Campo lies on the Fiume d’Orsàira at the point where the valley opens into the main valley.

Above Campo, the head of the valley encompasses the peaks of Pizzo del Corvo, at 3,015 metres, and La Bianca, at 2,893 metres.

Activities

A mountain trail leads over the Cristallina Pass, passing Lago Retico as a mule track and continuing towards the Lukmanier route in Upper Graubünden. This is suitable for a trip focused on mountain trails and passes.
