History

Gut Buckhagen is designated as a sight in Rabel. Historic fish weirs associated with Gut Buckhagen were used for fishing at Rabelsund until 1905.

The “Along the Schlei Shore to Rabelsund” route is an easy, unpaved circular trail measuring 5.03 kilometres. It starts in Rabel and leads over field paths and lightly trafficked roads. The route crosses extensive rapeseed fields. Hikers and cyclists enjoy the expansive landscape directly along the Schlei.
