The leading international marketing company Skytrax, which specializes in research in the field of aviation industry, has published the results of their studies, during which, over a 10 - month period were interviewed about 15 million air passengers. According to the results of this analysis, Cathay Pacific airline from Hong Kong was named the best airline in the world. And it will be awarded by the prestigious prize of the annual World Airline Awards. During the survey, conducted through online voting, telephone interviews and direct interviews of passengers at airports, have been studied all aspects of airline operations: the quality of service during the flight, as well as during parking at the airport, price policies of the companies, and even the appearance of the flight attendants and conducting of entertain actions during the flight, the total number of recorded parameters was about forty. And therefore Skytrax is recognized worldwide as the most independent and adequately reflecting the view of the passengers, and the prize Skytrax Awards for Airline Excellence is the most prestigious recognition of outstanding quality and service in the aviation industry, as well as an excellent advertisement for the airline.

Second place in the rating of Skytrax was given to Singapore Airlines Company, and the third - to Asiana.

In addition, in individual nominations were noted out such companies as: Emirates, for the best entertainment during the flight, and the best flight attendants were from Malaysia Airlines, Virgin Atlantic Airways won an award for the best premium economy class, and the best airline in Eastern Europe is deemed to be CSA Czech Airlines.

In addition to airlines Skytrax conducts the research for the best airport. About 200 airports around the world are marked, taking into account not only the basic criteria such as: the location of the airport, the possibility of transfer, the quality of service, the level of staff training, comfort and security of the airport, but also the availability of special services for disabled people, children, as well as the speed of customs clearance procedures and registration.
