The Resorts in Cape are Flooded

If you planed your vacation in one of the South African resorts, then you should think twice before you live for Cape. Bad weather conditions spoilt a vacation for many people because of heavy rains and rockslides that have taken place in the region recently.

Fortunately, there were no human victims but from the other hand the authorities did all their best to prevent the situation that took place in January, 1981. That time more than 100 people were killed during the flood on the Buffels River.

Yesterday 60 caravanners were evacuated from Pine Creek holiday resort that is situated in Groot Brakrivier. According to the resort owner’s words, some people who came to the resort had to go home, others had to search for other accommodation were they could stay until the rain stops.

Also there were closed some roads in Prince Albert, Oudtshoorn and Outeniqua. Because of rockfalls that were caused by the heavy rains the road between Ladismith and Calitzdorp was closed, too.
