Sights of Turkish Riviera

Turkish Riviera is the land of myths, which once could boast of two wonders of the world. There are the Halicarnassus Mausoleum and the Temple of Artemis in Ephesus. And even taking into account the fact that they are in ruins this in any case does not detract the importance of other attractions in the region. The ancient cities of the Riviera, including Patara, Xanthos and Myra still have a lot of interesting antiquities. In addition, many cities of the Turkish Riviera are famous with legendary personalities and saints, who at various times lived here. For example, in Ephesus you can see the house where the Virgin Mary spent her last days. The city of Myra (also known as Demre) is known as the birthplace of St. Nicholas. Bodrum, one of the major cities of the Riviera, is famous among other things as the birthplace of the ancient Greek historian Herodotus.
