Imperia is the westernmost province of Liguria with the provincial capital of Imperia and their accompanying 67 municipalities. It offers about 1000 km² of a very special landscape.
The Ligurian Imperia province is in the production of wine, olive oil and exotic plants. A few kilometers above the provincial capital of Imperia is the countryside through the valley of the river Prino. Here starts the famous route of olives (Strada dell ‘Olio), the medieval town Dolcedo is the centre for local millers from which the oil extracted. The offered apartments or cottages have a very good location, and if you are lucky then you can find a cottage that views the Mediterranean Sea. almost at the end of the valley there is the city of Valloria that attracts a lot of tourists who worship the art. The inputs, doors and gates where handpainted by the artists from all over the Italy. Here you will get much unexpected and unique experience in combination with the charming experience.
Here in the mountains and then on the beach you will also see the beautiful resorts of the coastal region, the flowers Riviera. Diano Marina and Imperia with their own flair, San Remo with its famous Casino, Bordighera and situated right on the border with France the medieval town of Ventimiglia with its famous Hanbury-Gärten. On the beaches and in small bays one can admire a clear-crystal Mediterranean Sea. Several places of the region have got the blue flag that is an Italian award for a high quality of the water.
One can spend the night either on farm operator (Agritourism) or in one of the many campsites, at many private providers’ or in the numerous hotels. The restaurants also offer specialties in the province of Imperia in variety and freshness at a very high level.
The symbiosis of contrasting Alpine and Mediterranean, as nowhere else in Italy, characterize the province of Imperia in a very special way. From the picturesque seaside resorts on the Mediterranean up to the small mountain villages in the 2000 m high alpine regions attract visitors from all over the world with their unique magic.
