Sri Lanka is an island nation situated in the Indian Ocean. The beautiful state is located about 31 km from the Southern tip of the Indian subcontinent away. The island is also the pearl of the Indian Ocean. There is the centre of the ancient Buddhism on Sri Lanka. Now the country is a multirekigious state. Here you will meet Hindus, Christians and Muslims. Buddhism is the preferred religion in the country. The capital of the country is Colombo. There are 650,000 people living here. The real life is in the center. The Galle Road is the main artery of Colombo. Outside the town you will find many tea plantations. Coffee, rubber and coconut also grow here. The landscape of the island is really beautiful. There is always something here to discover. Sri Lanka has got beautiful beaches, too. It also has got rich cultural heritage. You shouldn’t go too far if you want to sunbathe in a beautiful place. The variety of fauna will also strike you here. Here you will find different animals which you can see only in the zoo in different parts of the world. There are parrots, monkeys, elephants, snakes and leopard living here. Other exotic animals also live here. Sri Lanka is really exactly the right country for a memorable holiday.
