Airline from Greece was recognized as one of the best in Europe

(0) marks: 0During the traditional annual meeting of the European Regions Airline Association, which was held in Manchester, the largest private airline of Greece - Aegean Airlines - was recognized as the best airline on the European continent in its class. In order to be awarded with "ERA Airline of the Year 2008/09 Award" a number of criteria should be taken into consideration. One of the most important: the company fleet must be constantly expanded and updated, as well as the amount of traffic. The quality of service must be at the highest level, too.
The jury, which has chosen the winner, admitted that Aegean Airlines meets all these conditions in full. It should be noted that it is not the first time when Aegean Airlines receives such an appreciation for its work. In 2004 it was recognized as «one of the most punctual airlines in the world with an excellent service on board».
Aegean Airlines was founded in 1987 and since then, and it has never given its passengers any reasons for discontent. Today the company carries out transportation to more than 25 destinations of Greece and Europe. The number of flights of Aegean Airlines is constantly growing. For example, in November 2008, Aegean Airlines started regular flights from Moscow to Thessaloniki, which is one of the most popular holiday flights among the Russians to the Mediterranean region in the holiday season.
Today Aegean Airlines has the youngest, and thus the most air park in Greece. The average age of the aircraft of the company is 8 years. In consideration of large purchases of Aegean Airlines - Airbus A320 and Airbus A321 - this year the company's air park will be one of the most sophisticated in Europe.
