The cottage sits on a plateau, with superb views on three sides, overlooking the countryside. There is a small pine forest, dating back to Napoleonic times, at the rear of the rose garden behind the cottage. Historic caves with evidence of troglodyte habitation and a 15th century forge are all in a hectare of land which surrounds the house. There are many chateaux and vineyards within half an hour and there are 3-18 hole golf courses within 30 minutes (nearest is 10 minutes)The area is extremely tranquil with many rare birds. It is an ideal area for cyclists and walkers or those who just want to sit and dream over a glass of beautiful wine.

English and French spoken. All supermarkets in this area close on Sundays but there is a small grocers shop in our village where you can buy most things including Fresh bread everyday. There is a good restaurant in our village where you can get a meal if you arrive late. We were delighted when EuroRelais asked if hey could use the photo of our cottage with the sunflowers for their advertising and it is now at the top of every page of the internet and the lead page for the holidays in France in the brochure. Dates to remember. Fete de Battage. Old way of threshing corn, Lots of loval aritsans demonstrating there trade. Drinks tent all day.Folk dancing. Vintage cars. Fun fair. A real family day out. In the evening a meal and dancing ending with a spectacular firework display. 3rd weekend in September Patrimone weekend. Most chateaux and monuments are open free.
