A pleasant house bordering on the nature park - Le Morvan and the Côte dOr. The house is located on its own 1 ha land. There is a beautiful lake of approximately 2000 m on the grounds, with lively flora and fauna. You can organise nice barbecues on the large veranda (50 m) that overlooks the lake and optimally saviour the views and the tranquillity.

At a 20 minutes' drive away you will find the recreational lake Lac les Settons, with lots of water sports amenities, beaches and restaurants. Also ideal for walkers and (cross-country) cyclists, but also for anglers, quad trips and tree climbing.

The Routes des (Grands) Vins de Bourgogne run through the Côte d'Or and will lead you to lovely vineyards, castles, idyllic villages and wine cellars where you can sample the best wines and divine food. At less than 13 km you will find Saulieu, with its pleasant Saturday market and which houses many restaurants like the three-stars Bernard lOiseau for example.

Ground floor: 1 livingroom (TV, closed hearth, french doors), 1 kitchen (oven, microwave, dishwasher), 1 bathroom (shower, 2 x washbasin), 1 WC, 1 utility room (single bed, tumble dryer, washing machine).

On 1st floor: 3x bedroom (double bed), 1 bedroom (2 x single bed), 1 bathroom (bath, shower, washbasin, toilet).

General: heating (central), garden (fenced), garden furniture, BBQ, cot, high chair.


Remarks by the property owner
In the house you will find a guestbook with all kinds of information about the attractions in the environment of the house, including maps.
Both in the Parc du Morvan as in the Cote d'Or there are a lot of (cultural) activities which vary from art routes to (classical)concerts, theater and film in open air.

If you follow the wine routes and you pass Pernand Vergelesses it may be a nice idea to have lunch at: Le Charlemagne. It is a nice restaurant where they offer food with a French/Japanese influence. You can find more information about this and other restaurants in the house.

In Liernais (only 2 km) you will find a small supermarkt, bakery and butcher. Bakery and Supermarket are also open on Sunday's. Delivery from the supermarket is possible.

In our experience the best bread and honey comes from a small shop in Chissey en Morvan. It is a small modern looking shop where you can drink a cup of coffey and where they sell the best 'pain cereal' and 'pain aux raisin'. From this shop you are already on your way to the lakes and can possibly use your shopping for a nice picknick.

With regards to the house and its environment it is advised to bring fieldglasses.Especially early in the morning it you might be able to observe some wild animals.

Your quite close to Dijon (1 hour) en Autun (half an hour). Besides the huge markethalls in Dijon (open three times a week) you will be able to do some nice shopping and visit the numerous musea, which are worth a visit. In Dijon you should not have any parkingproblems neither in Autun, where there is a nice market on Friday's. In both cities there is a lot to do, especially in summer, therefore you can really make it a nice day out.

If you like cycling you need to bring bikes that are suitable for rough roads (like off road bikes). There are really many tracks which will lead you through varies landscapes including steep hills. Therefore it is advised to have good gears. You can ofcourse also also rent bikes. There are tracks suitable for both experienced and unexperienced cyclists.

Some household tips.

We have 1 room that has a two person bed with two 1 person matrasses. Please take this into account when you bring your linnen. The deck that goes with the bed is for two persons.


NB: The grounds include a small natural lake with non flowing water and which is filled every winter through the water coming from rising of the groundwater, rain and water up hill. We advise not to swim in the lake.
