In Southern Brittany, between Plouay and Pontivy, 50 km north east of Lorient. Ideal to discover the many sites inland Brittany has to offer and yet within easy driving distance of the coast.

PLACES TO SEE:
Pontivy. 23 km. Quaint market town with both a Napoleonic and medieval quarter overlooked by its fabulous 15th century moated castle. Situated on the banks of the Nantes to Brest Canal, it has a lovely atmosphere and boasts a large variety of restaurants and bars. Don’t miss the market every Monday morning!
Lorient. 50 km. Bustling city with wide boulevards and a vast array of stylish shops, lying on an immense natural harbour protected from the ocean by the isle of Groix. Famous for its fantastic Celtic festival held every August when all Celtic nations meet for a week of music and celebrations. Not to be missed.
Auray. 50 km. Charming little town with beautiful old quarter with delightful 15th and 16th century houses. Nearby Ste Anne d’Auray is Brittany’s most important place of pilgrimage drawing thousands of pilgrims and tourists from all over the world all year round but especially on July 26th for its “Pardon de Ste Anne” which was attended by Pope John Paul II in 1996.
Vannes. 55 km. Delightful and lively city with narrow cobbled streets and medieval buildings crammed around its cathedral. Outside the old walled town, the large colourful port shelters many yachts and is the point of departure for scenic boat trips to the Gulf of Morbihan islands.

Golf de Rimaison, Bieuzy les Eaux. 10 km. Golf course. 9 holes Par 35 - 2582m. Situated on the historical site of Rimaison castle, with splendid views over the Blavet valley. The spectacular elevation changes, rolling terrain and beautifully kept greens provide golfers of all levels a challenge they will never forget.
Camors Adventure Forest, Camors. 20 km. Adventure Park/Tree climbing. Set off on an exciting adventure in this hilly, wooded and lakeside setting and try out the monkey, rope and vine bridges high up in the trees. (Adventure course takes 2.5 hours to complete.) Children’s trail with 30 workshops and youth trail with 80 workshops
Pont Scorff Zoo, Pont Scorff. 30 km. Fantastic zoo with plenty to occupy and interest the whole family. Allow the whole day to see the whole park and shows. Not to be missed.
Jardin aux Papillons, Vannes. 55 km. A fascinating visit to discover hundreds of exotic butterflies which fly freely among luxuriant plants and rare flowers.

FURTHER AFIELD:
Josselin. 55 km. Lovely medieval town on the banks of the tranquil River Oust. The town is overlooked by a magnificent castle, still inhabited but open to the public. The castle also hosts an interesting Doll museum.
Gulf of Morbihan. 55 km. Inland sea dotted with beautiful and picturesque little islands (one for each day of the year !) offering an exceptional panorama that can be enjoyed by boat or during a walk along the coast.
La Trinité. 60 km. Sought-after seaside resort, haunt of many world famous sailors and renowned for its sailing and boating events. Its lovely quayside is dotted with numerous seafood restaurants.
Carnac. 65 km. Sought-after and lively seaside resort with excellent sandy beaches. Also renowned for its impressive prehistoric standing stones. A wide range of watersport activities are available as well as a good selection of restaurants and bars.
