Portugal

Portugal offers a perfect vacation for those who adore South Europe and search for originality and calm of a holiday. Peace seekers, families with children and even trekking tourists arrive in Portugal at their own expense every year. Everyone will find an appropriate accommodation in Portugal whether they stay in a cottage in the Algarve or in apartment or in a hotel on the Costa Verde. Algarve is especially famous for its many sandy beaches and lonely bays that are really wonderful for a beach vacation. Because of many golf sites Algarve is considered to be the vest place for a vacation. The Cabo Sao Vecinte in Sagres is the tip of the European continent and it belongs to the most beautiful sights of Portugal.

A little rough but still presenting the original north of Portugal. This part of Portugal is very popular among the natural friends. Minho in the North-West is the most densely populated region of Portugal. Because of the lush vegetation, the Minho region has always been considered to be the “green garden” of Portugal.

The cities of Portugal are also rich in tourist attractions. The Portuguese capital Lisbon has got many monuments, churches and museums that can tell a lot about the history of seafaring people.

The Portuguese cuisine is also rich in culinary delights that belong to a long maritime tradition. The main dishes include such a national dish like stockfish that can be prepared in many different variants. Among other popular dishes you will find grilled sardines and traditional caldeirada (fish soup). Soups and stews are also in a high priority in the Portuguese cuisine and they are often eaten with pleasure. Among the popular Portuguese drinks is light and summery Vinho Verde that stands next to port wine.
