Luxembourg is a little country situated in the very heart of Europe. It is characterized by a possibility of varied vacation without long trips to spend. Most of holidaymakers choose a hotel as an accommodation in Luxembourg-City. As a cheap and good place for a sleep a holiday house or an apartment can be also recommended. The city of Luxembourg is one of the smallest capitals in Europe. Its population is about 80,000 inhabitants but it surprises visitors with its cultural diversity. Here you will find everything from theaters and good restaurants up to the exciting festivals. Many of European institutions in the city contribute much to the international flair. In the North of the country you will find the deserted and unspoiled Ardennes in contrast to the small but lively capital. It is the right place for those who adore nature and wild life. Some of the hills in the north of the country that are covered with huge forests are well-known as “Luxembourg Switzerland”. You are always welcome in small and quaint towns like Ettelbruck and Diekirch. Wine lovers should visit the Mosel Remich for sure. This area is prominent for its vineyards for more than 2,000. The Moselle wine is as good as its “big brother” in Germany. Not far from this area there is a prominent and chic resort of Mondorf-les-Bains. In the south, on the border with France, there is the industrial heart of Luxembourg. The steel plants here have their best season and at the same time some relics from the time of the industrial revolution are open for visitors.
