Thailand stands as a tourist destination for decades for its unique landscape diversity. From cool mountains in the North through impenetrable jungle in one of the many national park to the paradisiacal beaches means a holiday in Thailand to be the case of a great choice.
The starting point for many trips to Thailand is Bangkok. This vibrant metropolis is in itself worth a longer stay. It is full of the Thai capital sights. About 400 of temples, floating markets and many cultural opportunities are waiting for their visitors. The legendary accommodation of “Mandarin Oriental Bangkok” offers not only a particularly stylish bed to rest after a strenuous day in the city.
A real alternative to the aircraft in Thailand are well equipped express trains. The prices are unbeatable favorable and then these trains offer safety and high comfort. Even menu is served in some trains.
The lower part of the country offers thousands of kilometers of coastline where every traveler can find his/her favorite beach. Apart from Pattaya there are many other places that are really worth seeing. In spite of being very popular Koh Samui and Koh Ngan still offer remote beaches where the traveler can almost call the sea to be only his/her own. Very often one can rent a cottage on the beach at an unbeatably low prices.
A trip to the smaller islands depends usually on weather but those, who prefer authentic experience at night to comfort, are recommended to go there. I.e. the Thai island of Ko Phi Phi that is known from “The Beach” movie offers simple accommodations.
It is also highly recommended to go to the North of Thailand. Chiang Mai offers a starting point for many jungle trekking tours. From here you can also go on a minibus to the beautiful town on Pai that is located high in the mountains. It seems that it is cut from other parts of the world but at the same time there are all the facilities and even a very sympathetic and stylish jazz bar in it anyway.
