Annual rock festival Norwegian Wood will be held in the capital of Norway, Oslo, from 14 to 17 June, 2012. The aim of this event is to provide young and unknown bands for an opportunity to play for big audience, as well as gain priceless experience by communicating with the world-famous rock stars. Despite the fact that Norwegian Wood was originally created as young festival, world music stars are also always invited. During the two decades the festival was attended by such stars as Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Foo Fighters, David Bowie, Roger Waters, Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Eagles, Sting, Iggy Pop and Lou Reed.

Norwegian Wood Festival is traditionally held in the famous city sculpture park of Gustav Vigeland, which is often called Frogner Park. During the four days of the festival at the open-air stage will gather tens of thousands of spectators despite the fact that the entrance is not free. For example, this year average ticket price will be 700 kroner (20 Euros) per day and 2,100 Euros for 4 days. However, Norwegian Wood is so popular among the rock fans that currently there are practically no available tickets left. Guests can also go to the glades located near the stage. Although spectators can’t see the musicians, they can enjoy their music and voice and it is absolutely free.
