Toy Story Land opened in the Chinese Disneyland
(News from Asia)Chinese Disneyland in Hong Kong opened a separate theme park dedicated to the heroes of the animated film Toy Story. The park was named Toy Story Land. Most of its attractions are somehow connected with the characters of the Toy Story movies. The park is located in the western part of Disneyland, just behind the Fantasy Land.
The opening ceremony of the new Disneyland theme park in China had all typical attributes of a grand Disney action such as hanging over the visitors giant 6-meter Woody - the main character of the Toy Story.
The fact that the opening of the new theme park is not only an important milestone in the development of the Asian Disneyland, but the nationwide event, is backed by the level of guests at the opening ceremony. Thus, among the VIP guests can be noted the chairman of the National Tourism Administration of China, as well as the entire top management of the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.
Toy Story Land is the first major theme park, which marked the gradual expansion of the Disneyland in Hong Kong. The administration of the entertainment resort intends to continue development during the next year. The second major theme park at the resort will be the Grizzly Gulch, which presentation is scheduled for 2012. Another theme park will be opened in 2013. It will be the Enchanted Lake.
In general, Hong Kong Disneyland plans to expand its present area by 20%.
Disneyland in Hong Kong is one of the largest amusement parks in Asia. The resort is among the top 20 most visited amusement parks in the world. For the 5 years of its existence it has been visited in total by 25 million people. The territory of the park is 22.4 hectares. The administration plans to expand the park to 27.4 hectares. As a result the number of the park visitors will grow to 8 million people annually.

Britain ask tourists to stay
VisitEngland national tourism agency decided to start the large-scale advertising campaign to promote holidays in the UK. Talking about the virtues of vacations on the beautiful austere British Isles the authors hoped to attract by this advertising concept at least some part of the multi-million flow of British tourists from hot resorts in Spain, Italy and Greece.
