In Dubai opened the highest restaurant in the world
(News from Asia)
On January 2011 in the highest skyscraper in the world, Burj Khalifa, which is located in Dubai, has opened a new restaurant - At.mosphere. The uniqueness of the restaurant is in the fact that today it is the highest restaurant, which is located on the 122 floor of the building, just two floors below the highest viewing platform in the world. The height of Burj Khalifa itself is 828 meters. The restaurant and its unique style were designed and development by the famous American architect and designer Adam Tihany, who worked with more than 300 restaurants, most of them are exclusive, as well as the world's largest shopping mall in the U.S. in Las Vegas (its construction cost 9 billion dollars).
"This is a totally new concept that changes the course of development for the restaurant business in Dubai" - said in an interview Marc Dardenne, the director of the company. Theoretically, according to the restaurant owners At.mosphere should look like a "yacht in the sky", the comfort must be like in the most luxurious super yachts, only instead of the boundless ocean in the windows will be visible endless expanses of the United Arab Emirates.
Despite all its exclusiveness, the new restaurant will not be insanely expensive. So, for example, table reservation in a private room, for example, for a romantic dinner, will cost about $180 per person, afternoon tea or lunch will cost $95, and drinks and snacks in the bar only $56. But to tell the truth the tables must be ordered in advance, because for the next two months all the seats are already occupied.
At.mosphere will be mainly oriented on European cuisine with a major emphasis on seafood and barbecue. Total capacity of the restaurant is 210 people, and to get to almost half a kilometer high the visitors will be able by a separate elevator owned by At.mosphere.
