Nowadays over 9 million tourists visit Egypt per year, however one of the main aims of the Egyptian government is to increase this number up to 14 million by the year 2011.
Coastal tourism in Egypt has become very popular. It is planned to open many integrated resorts along the coastline that will offer everything from luxury vacation rentals up to spa and golf resorts. And it is not only the aim or just a dream. Everyone know the famous Pyramisa Beach Resort in Sahl Hasheesh that is under construction now.
